Privacy Policy
What this covers
This policy applies to diamondsafetytraining.com, every bundle site on a subdomain of it, the course catalog at training.diamondsafetytraining.com, and trydiamondsafety.com. We call these the Sites.
Diamond Safety & Training, LLC is a Missouri limited liability company at 6921 E. 111th St., Suite 17780, Kansas City, MO 64134. Call 888-339-8118 or write to info@diamondsafetytraining.com.
What we collect
What you type. Our quote form asks for your name, company, email address, phone number, an approximate headcount, and whatever you choose to tell us about the training you need, all of it optional except the parts marked required. The guide download asks for an email address. Nothing else. Nothing on the Sites asks for a government ID, a date of birth, or payment card details, and you should not send those to us.
What your browser reports. Pages on the Sites record ordinary web analytics: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how you arrived, and how long you stayed. This happens through Google Analytics, described below.
What happens when you buy. Purchases are handled by BIS Safety Software Inc. on its own platform, not by us. Your card details go to BIS and its payment processor. We never see them, and we do not store them.
Why we collect it
To answer you. A quote request gets a reply from a person, by email or phone, about that request, and a guide download gets you the guide. That is the entire purpose.
We also use what your browser reports to see which pages work and which do not, and to decide what to write next. That is the whole of it. We do not build profiles, we do not score you, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who else receives it, stated plainly
We do not sell your personal information. We have never accepted money from anyone, in any form, for access to a name, an address or a phone number that reached us through these Sites, and we do not intend to start.
We do use other companies to run the business, and data reaches them as a result. Naming them is more useful than a promise:
- BIS Safety Software Inc. operates the store and the learning platform, takes the payment as merchant of record, holds learner accounts, and issues course records. Its own privacy policy and terms apply to what happens there.
- Google receives analytics data through Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-2Y9R0H922J, and receives your IP address when your browser loads the typefaces our pages use from Google Fonts.
- SMTP2Go transmits the email we send you, so the message and the address it goes to pass through its systems.
- SiteGround hosts the Sites and keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses.
Each of these acts on our instructions for the purpose described and nothing else. We will also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold, in which case this policy travels with the data.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies that distinguish one visit from another and measure how the Sites are used. Browser controls let you block or delete them, and most browsers also send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal that we honor where the law requires it. Blocking analytics cookies does not break anything on the Sites.
We run no advertising pixels. No retargeting tags, and no social media trackers either, which is unusual enough on a commercial site that it is worth stating rather than leaving you to check.
Email, and getting out of it
Ask for a quote and you have asked us to reply about that request. Download a guide and you get that guide. Neither one enrolls you in a mailing list.
We do run a separate outreach email program. Every message in it carries a working one-click unsubscribe and our postal address, an unsubscribe is honored promptly, and you never have to explain why. Leaving the marketing list does not stop messages about an order, a seat or a refund, because those are not marketing.
Mobile Information
Reproduced word for word from the version this policy replaces. It is the language mobile carriers require, and altering it would put SMS registration at risk.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
SMS Disclaimer
Also reproduced word for word, and shown on any form that asks for a telephone number.
"By providing a telephone number and submitting the form you are consenting to be contacted by SMS text message from Diamond Safety & Training LLC. Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messaging. Reply HELP for more information. See our Privacy Policy."
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, except where we have to keep something to meet a legal or accounting obligation, or where it belongs to a training record BIS maintains on your employer's behalf.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including to know what is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of them. Exercise any of it by writing to info@diamondsafetytraining.com or calling 888-339-8118. We do not charge for this, and we will not make you create an account to ask.
How long we keep things
Quote requests and the correspondence attached to them: 3 years, so we can pick up a conversation you started. Analytics data: as long as Google Analytics retains it under the setting on the property. Suppression records, meaning the addresses that asked not to be emailed: kept indefinitely, because the only way to honor an unsubscribe forever is to remember it forever. Training and completion records live with BIS under its retention rules and your employer's account.
Security
Traffic to the Sites is encrypted in transit, form submissions are rate-limited and screened for automated abuse, and access to what we hold is limited to the people who need it.
No system is perfect. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
The Sites sell workplace safety training to employers. They are not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we delete it if we discover we have. Learners must be 18.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when what we do changes. The effective date at the top moves with it, the version posted here is the one that applies, and a material change gets a notice on the Sites rather than a quiet edit.
